In the 19th century Klīversala was a vital transit artery, with Jelgava train station and the biggest shipyard in Latvia. Klīversala is also known as an oasis for the artists. However, after World War II, Klīversala was an industrial area and was surrounded by a fence, which is the reason many people remember this area closed for public not for its historical glory.

This area is unique and outstanding across Europe - it is located right in the heart of the city, just a walking distance from the old town, spectacular views and at the same time green and quiet.
