When creating the interior of your home, both interior
designers and homeowners always focus on the basic principles -
functionality, ergonomics and coziness. However, we should not
forget about the global design trends that are often visible in the
design of premises in apartments and private houses, regardless of
the area of the house or financial considerations.
"Comoblue" studio team, interior design authors of the new
demo apartment of the real estate developer’s Pro Kapital project "River Breeze Residence", presents
the latest trends in interior design and how to create a modern and
cozy home. "Creating a demo
apartment at "River Breeze Residence" was an exciting and
challenging process, which was subordinated to the interests of the
client, vision of the designers and the ideas of potential customers.
We used natural, high-quality, modern materials and trendy color
schemes to fully furnish the demo apartment. The goal of our
specialist team was to create an interior where the owner of the
apartment can feel comfortable, regardless of its geographical
location," says Juris Kauliņš, head of
"Comoblue".
Significance of colors
Every year, the paint
industry, designers and manufacturers around
the world put forward one or more colors that are relevant in a given
year and popular among designers, so they often are seen in interiors.
If the trendiest colors of the last decade were gray and pastel tones,
then this year those are tones like cinnamon brown, moss green, pink,
brick red, as well as bluish-gray tones. Brick red is considered a
"brave" color, because not everyone dares to use it in their
interior. However, it significantly enlivens the space, therefore
these color combinations are used in the demo apartment of "River Breeze Residence". The
brick-red wall tone together with the arctic blue sofa, as well as
carpets and decorations in earth tones form a great combination. Moss
green and pink are used in the bedroom, which gives the room intimacy
and emotional enjoyment.Let there be light!
Light has always been important to people. No matter how successful and elegantly designed the interior is, an irreplaceable value in it is sufficient lighting. If it is similar to the "River Breeze Residence" apartments where the natural light fills the entire room, the homeowners can be happy, since it is the best thing for any apartment. In light-filled homes, you can consciously choose light curtains and light-colored floors, that way creating more space and a feeling of coziness.
On the other hand, if there is
not enough natural light in the premises, it is possible to use
different types of artificial lighting sources. Thanks to the
development of LED technology, by changing the light intensity, the
lighting of a room can be adjusted similar to the natural light day
cycle. For waking up it can be programmed with a cooler spectrum of
light, but warmer in the evening to prepare for the end of the day.
Finding the right lighting for your home is the scientific challenge
of the new age. The new luxury -
natural materials and quality
One of the current trends in interior design is using natural materials. The new luxury no longer means richness in details and shapes, but natural materials, quality and sustainability is preferred. Trends show that people are starting to give up luxury furniture in favor of simplicity and practicality. Natural wood, metal and stone are still in fashion, as well as natural fabrics - velvet, linen or wool.
A significant new trend is the variety of shapes, especially slightly rounded shapes and details - round tables, lamps, rounded sofas. Earth tones are still popular, irregularly shaped carpets are increasingly visible in interiors, making them more modern and attractive.
Ergonomics and coziness are at the heart of it all
No matter what is the budget, interior preferences or occupation of the owner, the most important thing is to make people feel comfortable in their homes. To make homes more spacious, architects have been using open-plan design for some time. That's why ergonomics and well-arranged zoning - a place for rest, work, living and dining - are so important. However, it is crucial to keep in mind that it is a challenge to create a unified interior concept. By using appropriate means of expression that create a feeling of coziness and create a composition with unified design solutions, you will definitely achieve the desired result.
