Misa Manor (Misshof) has a long history; its first owner, Lukas Wolf, built it in 1560 between Iecava and Baldone, 35 km from Riga. Over the centuries, the manor has undergone several reconstructions and had various owners. Later, the manor was renamed Dzimtmisa Manor and served as a school for many years.
Now, Dzimtmisa Manor is waiting for its new lord – a diligent master who will restore its splendor and appeal by organizing grand celebrations and engaging entertainment events as part of their business activities.
The manor is a typical wooden log building with a steep gabled roof, a distinctive mezzanine, a symmetrical main facade with an entrance portal adorned by four slender, brightly white columns, and a lace-like wooden frieze that enhances the building's attractiveness.
The manor ensemble includes a 3.4-hectare area with the main building, a viewing platform, two ponds with water lilies, an apple orchard, and an outbuilding. It is located just 450 meters from the A7 road and 35 km from Riga.
A reconstruction project has been developed and is being implemented for Dzimtmisa Manor, which includes the construction of a guest house with sleeping quarters on the second floor. The total area of the manor is 1010 square meters, with an outdoor terrace area of 120 square meters. The first floor layout includes several reception halls, a kitchen, utility/technical rooms, sanitary facilities, and one guest room. The second floor and attic spaces are intended for guest accommodation. The manor also features a small brick-vaulted cellar, perfect for brewing and enjoying beer. Much has already been done during the reconstruction: the roof covering and insulation have been replaced, the facade has been finished, wooden windows and doors have been replaced, water and sewage systems have been installed, the electrical wiring has been replaced, a heat pump has been installed, and a heating system has been built on the first floor. Wooden structures have been replaced or reinforced where necessary, preserving and revealing all valuable and beautiful historical layers. The spacious reception rooms on the first floor have polished concrete floors with underfloor heating, and the large reception hall has a designated spot for a fireplace. The second floor has been divided into rooms, with engineering communication outlets in place. A landscaping sketch has been developed for the manor park, which still awaits a skilled gardener to take care of the plantings, apple orchard, and create colorful flower patterns in the flower beds.
For guest entertainment, the neighbors offer horse riding.
The vastness and tranquility of the Zemgale countryside, along with the ancient, majestic linden trees, surround this property. By taking the A7 highway, one can reach the center of Riga in 35 minutes.
