Pausa Nams – A Renovated Neoclassical Masonry Building at Ģertrūdes 56
Pausa Nams is a high-quality renovation of a 1910 masonry building in the heart of Riga. Designed by the prominent architect Bernhard Bielenstein, the building is a valuable example of neoclassical architecture, characterized by its solidity, symmetry, and functional layout.
Historical Value and Restoration This project is unique due to the careful restoration of historical details that give the building its distinctive character: ▪️ Realization of Historical Vision: Based on the original 1910 architectural sketches, decorative bay window (erker) elements—which remained unfinished a century ago—are finally being constructed. ▪️ Preservation of Authentic Details: The staircases feature restored historical wooden windows and unique wooden double-swing doors with original brass fittings.
About the Renovation Works Extensive renovation works are currently underway, with completion scheduled for the end of this summer. The goal of the renovation is to provide modern comfort while fully preserving the building's historical charm: ▪️ Renovation of the building facades, roof restoration, and attic insulation; ▪️ High-quality finishing in the staircases, including the restoration of original wooden windows and historical doors with brass fittings; ▪️ Full replacement of all utilities – new electrical supply, as well as new water, sewage, ventilation, and heating risers; ▪️ Landscaping of the inner courtyards – including greenery, lounge areas with tables and benches, and tasteful lighting for both the facades and the courtyard.
Apartment Condition and Options The project offers apartments of various sizes with different finishing levels, allowing you to choose the solution that best suits your needs: ▪️ Unfinished apartments (shell units); ▪️ Apartments with a white box finish (ready for final decorative works); ▪️ A fully finished demo apartment (ready for viewing and immediate occupancy). ▪️ Additionally, private parking is available for purchase in a closed, fenced courtyard.
